There are, and have been, occasions when we share information accross our social media platforms, that is significant and unique to our Club and community.
We are a Club who pride ourselves not just on results, games and training… but about our people… our neighbours … our friends 🟡🟢
This post is no exception.
There aren’t too many of us in Glanmire who haven’t had the privilege of knowing ‘our Niamh’ - she is a ‘stubborn aul boot’ 😜 whom I had the privilege to meet when I moved to the area last year! She was my first contact with this Club, and ‘gently’ encouraged and invited me to be part of this wonderful, supportive Club and Community 🤗
Niamh gives her heart and soul to everything she does, including working tirelessly within this Club (and many other Community initiatives) for the benefit and betterment of all 💛💚
In her ‘spare time’ Niamh is 100% dedicated to her family… and raising awareness for Cancer Research - a cause deeply personal to her… and to us all 🥰
Please read Niamh’s story, and if you’re in a position to help/donate/like and share… we would be very grateful!
Good luck Niamh, thank you for all your support 🥰
“I was diagnosed with stage4 metastatic breast cancer in 2019. I really appreciate the critical work done by Breakthrough Cancer Research, and similar orgs, in creating new and effective medication to treat cancer. I have been fortunate in being able to avail of these new cancer drugs resulting in me living longer than my initial prognosis 💪
Therefore, I am participating in their 310,000 March Step Challenge 2025 fundraising event. With Day 1 steps already completed, I commit to walking at least 310,000 steps this month no matter the weather 🌧️☀️”
